I see this a lot, people searching for a place to connect with others. Forums are nice, FB pages are ok, Twitter eh, talking to people face to face is better, but not always practical due to busy schedules.
Since I went GF I’ve participated in forums, asked for help on FB pages, and tweeted some people. But lately I’ve been picking up the phone and reaching out to others in the community to see what their life is like, where they eat out, what they do and do not eat, finding out about substitutions for things like cream of chicken soup, and most importantly just connecting with real people that are walking a similar path and I’d like to make this luxury available to you.
Would you participate in a “support group” type call or webinar if I were to hold one on a monthly basis?
I’d keep it upbeat and positive, no whining (ok maybe a little bit of whining), but mostly a “I’ve got your back” atmosphere where everyone in the room can feel “normal”.
